Abstract

Danes take enormous amounts of antidepressants. in 2011 approximately 460.000 bought a pack of the medicine. This is one of the many facts, that is the motivation behind this project. Guided by our preconceptions, the project unfolds, in the attempt to change the circumstances for individuals who are not necessarily in need of medicinal treatment, but are told they are, by their GP. By using elements from the kvalitative scientific interview, the open life­world interview, Weber’s Visual Images and Schrøder’s reception analysis, we design the optimal interview­structure. By using elements of Giorgi’s descriptive phenomenological analysis and Dervin’s Sense­Making, we attempt to highlight the individual's movement around phenomenon related to depression. The results, in form of helps, bridges, situations and gaps met in the frame of everyday life, are discussed, to optimize a possible campaign product, with the aim to stimulate debate, and change ways of acting upon signs of depression.
