Abstract

Abstract This project uses the welfare theory of the Social Investment Perspective to analyse certain Danish labour market reforms in the time period 1993 to 2012. The project describes the historical context in which the theory is evolved and moves on to explain the theory itself. The project uses qualitative empirical data that is analysed in accordance with the theoretical framework to conclude on whether Denmark is moving towards the Social Investment Perspective. The project concludes that Denmark is predominantly moving towards the Social Investment Perspective, however there are tendencies in the reform development that points both towards and away from the theory.
