Student thesis: Termpaper

The point of departure in this report is the newly established student radio at Roskilde University named RU Radio. The radio was established in 2012. This report aims to device an editorial policy for RU Radio. The report starts with a clarification of the conditions of RU Radio. Following is a discussion of the press and media ethics in relation to RU Radio which juxtaposed with more concrete ethical guidelines. Accordingly attempts are made to define the radio audience and to clarify their radio listening habits and their preferences. Subsequently it is examined how RU Radio as student radio depends on volunteers. This is done by examining how volunteers are recruited and retained. Finally, the report comes up with a suggestion to an editorial policy, a couple of suggestions of programs and a week of programming (these can be found in the appendix).
