Conventional argicultur to organic in Lejre municipality

The purpose of this project is to examine the conversion from conventional agriculture to organic, besides, to understand and explain the barriers to conversion to organic agriculture and how Lejre municipality can help to break them down. We have investigated it by using the theories – New Public Governance and transitions theory, where we examined which management paradigm Lejre municipality have applied in their strategy of action for their project “The ecological municipality”.
Furthermore, have we examined which barriers there are for conversion to organic agriculture and what impact they have on the agriculture regime also how Lejre municipality’s model can help to break these barriers down with their initiatives’ in “The ecological municipality”. With the use of empirical data, an interview with Tina Unger and Jens Peter Hermansen and reports from Lejre municipality, we examined how Lejre municipality can help break the barriers for conversion to organic agriculture down.
