Kalvebod Wave

Student thesis: Termpaper

This project investigates how the development of Kalvebod Wave in relation to the previous developments happens in a city-waterfront connection context and also explores people’s experiences. Through qualitative methods such as on-site visits, participant observation, visual methods, and in-depth interviews we collected the data that helped the analysis. Additionally, the method of sensory walking was used in order to generate a better understanding of the studied environment.
The findings revealed that people's experiences have been enriched through the design of Kalvebod Wave and that the criticised area of Kalvebod Brygge brought more urban life to the harbour front through the design of Kalvebod Wave and created a better connection with Copenhagen.
