    Abstract

    This article is about communicative task-based language teaching and learning. It presents the view of learning and language which task-based language teaching rests on and a task typology, and several examples of the use of tasks in the language classroom are given. Finally, the article briefly discusses the limitations and future perspectives of task-based leaning and teaching.
