Abstract

The philosopher Étienne Balibar views the uprising in France in 1968 as the point where we went "from a monolithic conception of power centered around the state, to a conception of the multiple forms of domination." According to the already then influential Marxist philosopher, the coordinates of liberating thought were thus changed permanently
