Pushing methodological boundaries in tourism research

    Abstract

    The chapter reflects on the latest developments in in qualitative methods and methodology in tourism research. It points to how various innovative methods presented in the book "Tourism Methodologies - New Perspectives, Practices and Procedures" make connections and relations between paradigmatic, theoretical and practical methodic elements. However, in engaging with such connections, the authors draw and reflect on several concepts, which are central to tourism studies today such as mobility, performance, intervention, meaning and identity encouraging further discussions of such concepts
