Abstract
Chapter 4 identified local problems or potentials and suggested possible design interventions to solve or enhance them in all of the locations. We now discuss how we – in dialogue with the municipal planners focus on one specific ‘design problem’ and prototype. Our designs follow a localised approach to designing places and altering behaviour. They respond to unique local problems identified through our studies of these places and their associated walking and public life practices (Carmona, 2017).
