"Medicin uden grænser"(Medicin without borders) is a study of the Danish medical institution Statens Serum Institut(the State Serum Insitute) or SSI, during the German occupation of Denmark 1940-45. Through an overall investigation of the political, scientific and economic factors that set the boundaries for the SSI before and during the German occupation, and cases of collaboration, the investigation shows how the SSI navigated during a period of Danish history, that offered considerable political, scientific and economic challenges.
