Abstract
The Language Profiles at Roskilde University allow students to keep working with their second foreign language (French, Spanish and German) as part of their academic programme, which are NOT part of a foreign language education.
A number of scholars and teachers are situating the Language Profiles in relation to Danish and international research in plurilingual teaching. They share their experience with and contributions to new initiatives that include working directly with different agents from both public and private sectors in Denmark as well as abroad.
The book also includes numerous contributions from former Students who discuss the form and content of the programme, the status of foreign languages in Denmark, research literature as well as their own practical experiences with the language in Denmark and abroad. It is perhaps particularly their clear voices and inputs that makes this book original and worth reading for any teacher who works in a plurilingual context as for research scholars, not to forget other students and people with interests in the subject matter
