Abstract

We meet at the waterfront by the Little Mermaid statue on Langelinie pier in Copenhagen. From here, we go on a journey through the Little Mermaid’s pursuit for an immortal soul; her decapitation by the Situationists in 1964; and urban spaces submerged under the COVID19 lockdown. We arrive at a vandalistic plot that might bring the Little Mermaid closer to fulfilling her dreams.

Thanks to Mantė Vertelytė for inspiring me to visit the Little Mermaid.
