”Digital Culture?”: De/stabilizing the “Digital Generation”

Research output: Contribution to journalJournal articleResearchpeer-review

Abstract

Abstract: This article describes how human body boundaries are destabilized to include ’digital-technology-as-connectivity’ by simultaneously becoming entangled with and immersed in an ephemeral digital realm. Blending Karen Barad’s Agential Realism and understandings of subjectivity from German-Danish Critical Psychology to investigate how human subjects are created, changed and maintained, we will re-conceptualize Communities of Practice as Affinity Spaces and enact an allegory to destabilize the “virtual-real” dichotomy often reproduced in literature discussing a new and special ‘Digital Generation’.
