Abstract
The article examines the social differentiation processses that take place in a Danish kindergarten setting among 5 years old children. Differentiation is compared with the gender and the social class of the children's families. Peer relations are found to have a crucial importance in the differentiationsprocesses. The findings are discussed in relation to the theory of Bourdieu.
