Abstract

This report is “Deliverable 3.8: Living labs for co-creation and co-innovation v2.0” of the Horizon Europe LibrarIN project. It reports “Task 3.3, Living labs for co-creation and co-innovation of WP3, Thematic and empirical work in selected co-creation areas”. Its aim is to explore how libraries develop experimental settings for co-creation and co-innovation. This second realise of the deliverable provides: 1) a review of the literature about libraries as living labs (Part 1), which is adopted from D3.7; and 2) illustration of the cases selected for analysis (Part 2). We use the construct of living labs as an analytical lens to characterize libraries as experimental settings. Specifically, we explore, based on the literature reviewed and case illustrations, how some libraries are transforming the library space into experimental settings that share many characteristics of living labs.
