Abstract
When analysing the results of a European wide citizen consultation on sustainable consumption it is necessary to take a number of issues into account, such as the question of representativity and tensions between national and European identies and between consumer and Citizen orientations regarding consumption. The paper provides an overview of these issues as well as of some of the metodological challengenges connected with the analysis of the results of the consultation.
