Abstract
The research project ‘Producing alternative green futures: Exploring
interconnections between green transitions and socioeconomic and political
organization’ investigates alternative communities across three continents in
three different countries: South Africa, India and Denmark. Through case
studies, the research project has produced empirical insights on local
perceptions of ecological sustainability, participatory democracy, and social
and political organization. The ambition is to challenge taken-for-granted
assumptions about green transitions and to stimulate our ability to imagine
other pathways.
