Abstract
This poster presents an overview of the Chinese activities in the Democratic Republic of Congo's (DRC) mining sector. The poster outlines the three main strands of activity and explains the differences between them: 1) activities initiated and led by the Chinese government; 2) private, market-led investment; and 3) trade. The poster is based on findings from the author's field research in the DRC (Kinshasa and Lubumbashi) in 2008 and 2009.
