Abstract
Psychological characteristics of bilinguals, the bicultural identity of a teenager, self-identity of a bilingual, linguistic identity, ethnic identity, multilingual environment, Russian as a second native language, mother-tougher as foreign language.
This article is dedicated to the psychological characteristics of bilingual teenagers and the formation of their self-discovery or self-consciousness. In certain cases an interaction between linguistic and ethnic components of identity of bilingual youth is shown, especially their self-identification. The author also refers to factors that have an effect on the bicultural identity of young people, who are growing up a bilingual environment.
