This preparatory project aims at a larger-scale strategic research program with the overall objective of initiating and assessing how universities in Africa can become active partners in so-called triple-helix activities[1]. Specifically, the research will focus on applied Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approaches aimed at enhancing local innovation capacity and entrepreneurship in projects designed for adapting to local effects of climate change as well as preventive action to reduce emissions.
