Project Details
Description
The projects aims at educating and qualifying long-term unemployed people in order to improve their chances for regular employment. The participants grow heritage plants in collaboration with private seed companies, the Danish Seed Savers and others. The aim is to preserve or spread vegetable varieties that are threatened because they no longer are grown commercially. The participants also grow vegetables according to organic principles and deliver these to the municipal kitchen in the town of Nakskov. The kitchen daily prepares and delivers food to more than 600 people.
