How can elementary school pupils and university students become innovative citizens of the world, and to communicate and develop ICC through cooperation with international partners? In practical terms, how can intercultural relationships and competences develop and function along the interface with the natural environment through collaboration within and across cultural contexts in ways that symbiotically benefit the people involved, and the natural environment around them? In the proposed project, citizens of different ages from different cultural backgrounds will act together in ways that benefit both the natural environment and their developing intercultural relationships – symbiotically. The researchers aim to develop methodology for developing ICC through foreign language education in two interconnected citizenship education projects focusing on environmental action that span three continents and two generations making use of online resources.
