"Freedom of Movements, appearing as resistance" focuses on racism and anti-racism in Denmark based on cooperation and dialogue generated from "below". Our work is therefore informed by the analyses, voices and experiences of racialized populations, such as migrants and refugees. The particular focus is on the border control system, detention and deportation camps. The project workes with a broad understanding of movements, including freedom of movement, social movements, epistemic and knowledge ‘movements’ (changes), and the right to move, the right to stay, and the right to have rights. It privileged the movements heralded by racialised populations, and involved opening spaces of conversation across knowledges, social positions, experiences and cultures to explore common ideas, lines of actions and activities to build the world we want to live in.
