Project Details
Description
This project was about the management of challenges in relation to diversity at an industrial laundry facility in Denmark, where 80% of the employees have a non-danish background, many of which speak relatively little Danish. The project combined ethnographic observation with video-recordings, using conversation analysis to identity communicative and interactional strategies between employees.
Key findings
The project focused on white board team meetings between the 5 different production teams and their individual team leaders and identified succesful strategies for creating understanding and participation. The findings were presented to team leaders in workshops within the facility being investigated and another facility in a different part of Denmark.
