Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The project involves three core elements:

• Inaugural meeting of Cultural Democracy Working Group – NUI Galway, Roskilde University, University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, CKI

• ‘Cultural Democracy and Cultural Policy’ Symposium at Roskilde University for an invited audience of academics, researchers and students

• Sector Engagement Workshop
The workshop will be hosted by CKI and will be attended by 40 senior members and representatives from the cultural sector including artists, funders and policy makers.

Key to the research project methodology is the potential for long-term collaboration between both the academics from the four participating universities and the cohort of policy makers and cultural organisations with which the research will engage. The workshop will provide the opportunity to build lasting collaborative research networks and enable me to gather rich data from a diverse range of stakeholders. This will both enhance and develop the research collaboration between NIU Galway and RUC and build a network of affiliated cultural sector partners.
