I am working on a PhD -thesis titled: Changing Research Associations in Times of War - The Development of Penicillin and the Internationalisation of the Danish Pharmaceutical Industry, 1935-1965.
The project is placed in the crossfield of the history of science and technology and the history of war, studying the changes that occured in the Danish pharmaceutical industry in the period from 1935 to 1965. As the title indicates, the focus is on the pivotal role of the making and mass production of Danish penicillin, how this came about, was done and how far these changes had an impact on the research of the pharmaceutical industry in the post-war years.
