Research

My research interest is in circular economy, resources, waste, renewable energy, environmental innovation and policy/planning/regulation. I am currently working on a number of research projects dealing with:

• Circular economy: Working with circular economy, resources, waste and sustainable manufacturing. Waste minimization, reuse, recycling and innovative exploitation of waste and by-products such as plastic waste, construciton and demolition waste and organic waste. Working with theories and methods for circular economy, value chains, business models and innovation as well as industrial ecology and industrial symbiosis
• Planning, policy and regulation: focussing on Danish and international (EU) planning, policy and regulation.

• 2009-2010: Assistant professor at Roskilde University: Working on a large EU project about sustainable bioenergy promotion in countries around the Baltic Sea (35 partners and budget on €5 million )
• 2007-2009: Post.doc at Roskilde University: Working on project about sustainable biofuels in Region Zealand (identification of local ressources and potential conversion routes)
• 2004-2007: PhD student at Roskilde University: project about environmental innovation in the automotive industry
• 2006: Visiting scholar at Cardiff University

Teaching

I have teaching experience from various courses on renewable energy, cleaner production, globalisation, innovation, clusters and value chains. I have supervised project groups on renewable energy, transport policy, strategic environmental impact assessment, cleaner production, industrial symbiosis, sustainable biofuels and environmental innovation in industries such as plastic, electronics and automotive.
