Personal profile

Research

My field of research is health professions, health education and the transformations of the health care system. Over the last 10 years, my research has focused on education of health professionals and how the changed conditions in the health care system shape the health professionals' understanding of their work and professional identity. I deploy a range of qualitative research approaches e.g ethnography and document analysis. I prefer to work in close collaboration with practice partners in all parts of the health care system. Since my book on interprofessional collaboration was published in 2016, I have given more than 30 lectures on why collaboration across professions, disciplines and sectors often prove challenging and how develop collaborative practices.
