Research

I joined Roskilde University (RUC) as a postdoc in 2018 and have been Associate Professor in International Development Studies since 2020. Before joining RUC I was a PhD student and later a postdoc at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen. My research focuses on race and racism in International Relations, liberation movements, spatial politics, settler colonialism and postcolonial studies. I am the author of Decolonizing Palestine: Hamas between the Anticolonial and the Postcolonial (Cornell University Press, 2020) and co-editor of Globalizing Collateral Language: From 9/11 to Endless War (University of Georgia Press, 2021). My work has also appeared in The Washington Post, Al Jazeera English, Foreign Policy, The Huffington Post, Open Democracy, Jacobin, The London Review of Books, The Palestine Chronicle and The Disorder of Things.
