Research
Professor of Aesthetic Culture at Roskilde University, specializing in art, philosophy, and intellectual history. Anne Elisabeth Sejten researches how aesthetic practices within literature, visual art, and film shape our culture. Her work engages with intellectual currents where philosophy and art intersect, including Enlightenment thought, critical theory, and poststructuralism. She leads the research group Aesthetic Culture and the international network Aesthetics Unlimited, which analyzes the role of aestheticization in society and its impact on the boundaries of art.
