I am interested in developing processes for high cell density cultivation of microalgae for bio-oil and high value nutraceuticals, and on integrating energy intensive downstream processes such as harvesting and cell disruption in a single step with an ultimate goal of developing an energy efficient integrated microalgal biorefinery.
