Research

Presentation

Academically grounded in law and anthropology, my research centers around the intersections between law, emotions, and culture. Namely, this includes investigating the translation of emotions and cultural concepts into formal law- and policy-making within areas such as hate crime law and gender-focused legislation, in national as well as international contexts.

At RUC, I am mainly associated with the MA programmes in Samfundsjura and International Politics and Governance, but I also supervise subjects within social science at large and global development studies.

Background

I am primarily associated with the Copenhagen Centre for Criminology (CCC) at the University of Copenhagen, and have previously worked for the EU Delegation to the United Nations in New York and the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR).

I am the section editor of the upcoming International Handbook of Legal Language and Communication (published by Springer).

For more information on my research, see here.
