My Ph.D.-project focus on social policy development in the Faroe Islands. It relates to general research on the subject of reforms of welfare- and social policy in the Nordic states. The overall emphasis in my project is how reforms and interventions constitute and support welfare of citizens in access to the labour market, education and equality. The project analyses social policy in the Faroes Islands, with the intention of creating knowledge on general patterns and trends in labour-market activities concerning people with social challenges.
I work with a systematic collection and analysis of register data from public authorities. In my research, I primarily use quantitative data and research methods; however, I am combining my research with qualitative methods in a mixed method approach.
