Personal profile

Research

My research focus on are on ethnic relations, media and museums in multiethnic societies - with specific focus on Denmark and the Netherlands. The aim of my current research is to examine the role of websites and social media genres in the remediation of migration memories and heritage. I am particularly interested in, how social media genres may facilitate collaboration between museums and so-called 'source communities'. Furthermore, I am interested in, how colonial history and postcolonial memory practices are articulated in crossmedial communication (for instance across tv-documentarism, websites and social media). In recent years my reserach has also included museums' off-line exhibitions and co-creation projects, and I am currently participating in a project on religious diversity in cultural historical museums.
