Personal profile

Research

My research focuses on people's encounters with healthcare services and how inclusion and participation processes are practised here. I am interested in the significance of institutionalised frameworks and health professional logics concerning the inclusion of patients' experiences of handling life with illness. Furthermore, I'm exploring how people's unequal conditions affect the interaction between professionals and patients and impact how the patient is understood and understand themselves.

Overall, I am interested in participation and involvement, both as a research object and as a research method. I work primarily with qualitative methods, including ethnography, observations, interviews and participatory approaches. I have a health professional profile with many years of clinical experience, a degree in physiotherapy, a master's degree in education and health promotion and a PhD. I've also worked as a lecturer at university colleges for several years.
