My research centres around young people’s choice in education, development of youth education programs, in- and exclusion processes, vulnerable youth, drop-out in youth education programs, transitions from elementary school to youth education programs and from youth education to higher education and including education environment.
A central research interest in this work is young people’s learning and identity processes and motivation for education and how the culture around education and learning environments can support these processes. In addition is a great interest in educational policy, education reforms and their influence on young people’s lives.
Teaching wise, I have been associated with the education programme Pedagogy and Educational studies for many years, where I teach and supervise at both the bachelor and master programmes.
