 1987-1991 Employed at Dept. of Working Life at Danish Tech­no­logical Insti­tute.
 1991-1992 Employed in the Danish Ministry of La­bour as head of office. Dealing with wor­king en­viron­­ment. 
 1992-1995 Employed on a grant 'Workplace related regulation of Working Life Issues' at Dept. of Environment, Technology and Social Studies; Ros­kilde University.
 1995‑2000 Assistant Professor at the same department.
 2000- Associate Professor at IMT (formerly Tek-Sam and ENSPAC), RUC.

Other duties:

 1999- Co-editor of Tidsskrift for AR­BEJDSliv - The CSA Journal
 2000-2002 Chairman of CSA (Centre for Studies in Working Life - a national organisation for 'working life' researchers).
 2002-2005 Main editor of Tidsskrift for AR­BEJDSliv.
 2002-2006 Member of the board of Nordic Ergonomics Association.
 2006- Member of International Ergonomics Association's (IEA's) council
