Migration, Transnationalism, heritage sites, heritage of the excluded
RESEARCH THEMES: Cultural and political aspects of globalisation, migration, transnationalism, diaspora politics, micropolitics, heritage and identity politics, Institutional aspects ofnatural resource management, land tenure systems, decentralisation, local politics, smallholder agriculture and livelihood strategies (Africa, Asia and the Balkans ).
Teaching: Development geography, social and political geography, socal science basic education
PROFESSION: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Geography and International Development Studies,
POSITION: Associate Professor in Geography (Development Geography, Social and Political Geography).
LANGUAGES: English, French, some Serbian, Spanish and Portuguese.
EDUCATION: 1988 : Msc. in Geography and Development Studies.
2000: Ph.D. degree at the Graduate School of Development Studies, Roskilde University.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
February-December 2005 Research leave, spent in Belgrade, finalising book manuscript + carrying out fieldwork on diaspora politics and trans-national relations between Serbian immigrants in Denmark and their ‘home' communities.
February 2001-2005 Director of Studies, Dept. of Geography.
October 2000- Asssociate Professor. Department of Geography, Roskilde University.
October 1996 - 2000 Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Roskilde University.
