Personal profile

Research

My research primarily focuses on health promotion and social inequity in health. I am particularly interested in how the health promotion initiatives offered within the healthcare system can be organized to help as many people as possible with their specific needs. This includes exploring how welfare technology can be utilized effectively, as well as understanding the advantages and disadvantages of technology in health care. Additionally, I am interested in social inequity in health and vulnerability, and how these concepts can be explored and integrated to create more equitable health promotion initiatives. I also focus on enhancing how individual people’s resources can be better utilized in their interactions with the healthcare system.

My current PhD project is a qualitative study that explores patients’ experiences of participating in health promotion initiatives aimed at implementing or promoting physical activity through the use of technology.

The project is a collaboration between Roskilde University, Region Zealand and the research and implementation unit PROgrez, Department of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Næstved-Slagelse-Ringsted Hospitals.

My have a background in physiotherapy, and I hold a master’s degree in public health.
