Personal profile
Research
My research interest is with the social and cultural aspects of organization and management as they appear in organizational processes, including organizational change. I advocate methodological pluralism and use a wide range of qualitative methods to advance an understanding of how change affects the organization of work, the content and nature of work, and is responded to by employees and managers. Specifically, I have looked at the standardization of work, merger, professional identity and professionalization, digital technology, robots and automation in the hospital sector particularly. Theoretically I work primarily with Bourdieu’s practice theory but also with discourse theory, framing theory and others.
Research areas:
- Digitalization and robotization in hospitals
- Professional identity and boundary constructions in healthcare
- Performance management and work monitoration
- Power and management
- Hospital department merger
- Privatization
Research projects:

2020 - 2022 PI for the project 'Human and robot exchanges in the organizational space: the social dynamics of new work configurations in a Danish hospital'. Sponsered by Helsefonden.
