Research

Jan Pries-Heje is Professor in Information Systems and Head of the User Driven IT Innovation Research Group.

Jan is currently focusing his research on project management, design sceince research and agile approaches. 

Jan Pries-Heje has been Research Manager for several projects; recently "SourceIT" which was a 16 million DKK Innovation Consortia with three Danish companies.

Jan holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Copenhagen Business School. He is a certified ISO 9000 auditor and Bootstrap assessor, and has been project manager for a number of multi-media and IT-related change projects.

Before coming to Roskilde Jan worked at the IT University of Copenhagen and as Professor in Software Engineering and Management at the IT University in Gothenburg.

Jan is past President of the Association of Information Systems in Scandinavia (IRIS). Jan serves as the Danish National Representative to IFIP Technical Committee 8 on Information Systems where he is currently also Chairman. Jan has served or is serving as Associate Editor for MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Journal, and Business and Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik); three of the best journals in the field of IS.

Jan's research interests include information systems development, software engineering, and software process improvement. He focuses on organisational and managerial issues, and has a special interest in designing and building solutions.

Jan has published more than 250 books and papers in high quality journals and conferences.
