Personal profile

Research

I am a post.doc researcher working in the intersection between politics, media and digital society. Currently, I investigate the role of anti-systemic narratives and far-right and counter-climate movements in digital information environments in Northern and Central Europe.

In my PhD dissertation, I have been studying the spread of anti-systemic narratives and discourses in alternative information environments across four European countries between 2019-2022. The dissertation dives into the societal information space outside the mainstream related to spread of disinformation, online extremism, and extra-parliamentary politics to establish knowledge about how these spaces transforms digital democracies, identity-formation and political polarization. I use a range of AI and network analytical tools to analyze large-scale patterns in digital information environments.

I am currently post.doc in two research projects: Alternative Media and Ideological Counterpublics (AlterPublics) (PI Eva Mayerhöffer, funded by the Carlsberg Foundation; 2021-2025), and Modelling polarization dynamics on Danish social media (#echopol)(Co-lead by Eva Mayerhöffer og Jens Ulrik Hansen, funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark, 2023-2026).
