Personal profile

Research

In my research I take an interest in plastics governance and how ideas of circularity shape and limit future developments. Currently, I work in the Velux-funded MarinePlastic II project and study the UN Plastics Treaty process.

I have published on strategies for plastics decarbonisation, narratives and limits of circular (carbon/ plastics) economy, expectations on carbon capture and utilisation and corporate climate targets.

My background is in environmental engineering and I hold a PhD in Society and Technology, both from Lund University, Sweden. In my PhD thesis, I adopted an interdisciplinary approach by mapping and exploring the framings and technologies that surround plastics decarbonisation and the potential mitigation pathway of carbon capture and utilisation.
