Research

Erica Cirino is an American environmental scientist and photojournalist. As a photojournalist she is focused primarily on the issue of plastic pollution. At Roskilde University she educates graduate students about science communication, and has the opportunity to get an up-close view on others' projects about plastic pollution and policies, which she covers in her stories. Additionally, Erica performs her own research in the field of science photojournalism. Previously she has studied pharmaceutical pollution policies and public perception in suburban New York, as well as human-wildlife conflict mitigation strategies across the United States.
