Research areas

Erica Cirino is an American environmental scientist and photojournalist. She is focused primarily on the issue of plastic pollution. At Roskilde University she analyzes global, national and municipal plastic pollution policies and evaluates their efficacy in reducing plastic litter, in addition to measuring public cooperation in and perception of efforts to keep litter out of the natural environment. Previously she has studied pharmaceutical pollution policies and public perception in suburban New York, as well as human-wildlife conflict mitigation strategies across the United States.
