Personal profile

Research

I am a social psychologist and an installation artist. This combination offers a hybrid and nomadic practice that moves across disciplinary boundaries to challenge rigid understandings of people and reality.

Academically and artistically, I am inspired by new materialism, feminist theory and posthumanist thinking.

I am very interested in how the spatial, material and posthuman turn affects our understanding of place, space, body, gender, technology and subjectivity in everyday (work) life.

I am interested in how normativity , marginalization, exclusion and inclusions are produced, reproduced, challenged and changed - in urban space, in organizations, in communities - and in discursive and material practice. I also find transdisciplinary approaches to 'wild' and 'wicked' problems like climate and biodiversity crisises both inspiring and much needed.

Methodologically, I can supervise qualitative methods such as single and focus group interviews, participant observation, action research as well as post-qualitative method, multi-species methods and performative (re-)presentation.
