Research

I am a PhD Fellow in Political Economy researching how states navigate the decarbonization of fossil-fuel assets they own and control. My doctoral project develops a framework for understanding incumbency regimes - state structures that sustain fossil-fuel-based accumulation and political power. Using computational social science methods, I examine how these regimes reproduce themselves and resist decarbonization across different political contexts.

My academic background, both as a scholar and as a research assistant, has focused on elites in the global political economy. This informs my current research which lies at the intersection of sociology and critical political economy.
