Ayan Yasin holds a Masters’ degree from Aarhus University. Yasin has a major in Arabic and Islamic Studies and a minor in Psychology (2018).  Yasin has a professional background in consultancy and teaching and she has written several columns for different Danish newspapers and magazines.

Based on an autoethnographic methodology and qualitative study, Yasin’s Ph.D. research project investigates Somali migrants who left their country of origin, settled in Europe and after achieving citizenship chooses to improve their living conditions in a third country.
