My research practice is grounded in the significant impacts that mobilities of people, animals, plants, goods, materials, information and capital have, in a world characterized by increasing acceleration and production of borders.
The interests I follow in this field are related to the pervasive ecological, humanitarian, existential, digital and economic shifts, that arise in times of total urbanization, climate changes, mass-migration, extinction of species and globally distributed surveillance systems.
I work to develop research methods, that are not only looking to understand, but also engage with and contribute to social changes. In this work I am particularly interested in the development of transdisciplinary methods in a more participatry direction towards action research, artistic practices or making/curating organizations.
Theoretically I am inspired by discussions around conceptualizations of social change, the role of research in societal critique & re-composition, human-nature relationships, infrastructures & systems and the social grounding of ethical values in lived experiences.
