Personal profile
Research
I am an associate professor of social care and policy at Roskilde University and a senior postdoctoral researcher at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. My research focuses on the outsourcing and marketisation of social care services for adults and children, and I specialise in improving the documentation of this development. I also regularly provide methodological expertise on systematic reviews investigating a range of topics.
I work at the intersection of social care, public policy, and public health. My work has been disseminated in journals such as the BMJ, Nature Human Behaviour, Nature Aging, Lancet Healthy Longevity, Social Science & Medicine, and Age & Ageing.
Currently, I am co-leading a Nuffield Foundation funded project aimed at improving the evidence on social care outsourcing in England. You can learn more about the project here.
I'm also leading a Carlsberg Semper Ardens Accelerate project, 'The Privatisation Paradox', which explores the marketisation of social services in Denmark. You can read more about the project here.
A full list of my work can be found here on Google Scholar and you can also find me on Bluesky or Linkedin.
If you have any questions about my research or would like to explore opportunities for collaboration, please feel free to get in touch with me at [email protected] or [email protected].
