My PhD project investigates the policy of forced adoption as a social policy tool in Denmark and Norway and how this policy (re)configures care, family and nation state. The PhD project will develop new and critical perspectives on forced adoption as a biopolitical strategy marked by gender, race and class situated in the Danish and Norwegian welfare states.
